What can be a replacement for starter ear rings?

I’m planning to get both of my ears pierced, but my school doesn’t allow ear rings on boys.
So I’m looking for a replacement for starter ear rings to avoid the hole closing up.
I’ve seen some people with small toothpicks and stems of garlic in their ears, but
I was wondering if that’s safe? Or maybe there is a more clean replacement?
Thanks.

  1. sorry, but the only thing i can think of is to wait until may or june and wear earrings all summer, then when school starts up you should be fine just wearing them after school and on weekends

sorry but im not sure if toothpicks or garlic are safe, they certainly don’t sound safe

Yeah, those don’t sound safe at all. If you can’t wear a piercing stud in your ear I would definitely say to go to a tattoo and piercing place and have it done there (it is way safer for your ears in the first place, piercing guns are not safe at all). And ask if there are clear plastic holders that you can get and wear for 2 months before you can put in other earrings.

  3. Nothing but proper body jewelry is safe for piercings. You can look into glass retainers (they are clear and used to hide piercings), but if someone got close enough to you, it’d be noticable.
