What is the difference between Lord Of The Rings abridged and unabridged?
My roommate has a learning disability and get books on CD. He likes Lord of the Rings, and I wanted to purchase him the Lord of the Rings on CD, but there is a HUGE price difference between the abridged and unabridged versions. What is the difference? I know what the terms mean; however, is there a big difference? Would it be noticeable?
The differences are has you have said, In the length and level of understanding. I know I would prefer the unabridged version if only to have the original version by the author. I wouldn’t mind getting an unabridged version though but hey, if your strapped for cash go with the cheaper version.
The abridged is the condensed abbreviated version. Unabridged is the full book. You miss a lot in the abridged I think
Abridged sometimes includes a dramatized version.
