Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue
www.ProGuitarShop.com – Fender Deluxe Reverb The Fender Deluxe Reverb is probably the most recorded tube amplifier in history. Its tones are legendary and it has been heard on thousands of records from country to rock to blues and beyond. The 20 watt Fender Deluxe Reverb is nothing but classic Fender tone from sparkly clean to roaring overdrive, this amplifier can do it all. Thick, lush reverb and smooth tremolo are also featured on the Deluxe. This reissued is true to the original circuit and features a Jensen ceramic 12 speaker and select Groove Tubes throughout. It is spanky and punchy with a Strat and thick and chunky with a Paul. The Fender Deluxe Reverb is the reissue to end all reissues. Get one today and find out why.
at 2:25 or so he was playing Rock Lobster by the B52’s was he not? lmao
You’d on a Deluxe somebody would bust out some Smiths
@ProGuitarShopDemos, please tell me Andy is wearing earplugs. I worry for his hearing, long term.
wow.. down by the seaside! You dont hear people play that very often.
Sounded awsome.
@THEFUNDAMENTALVIEW It’s a demo, it’s about the sound of the product not your music preference.
@AaronMGil a frontman 212r is a toy compared to a DR. It’s just an amazing amp, just crank it to up and listen to that sweet nature break up.
but get rid of the stock groove tubes as soon as you can. And the cheap caps they put in it.
The DR has been a fav of mine for years – clean tones, takes my pedals like a pro, and isn’t a back breaker to haul. BUT, I’ve been messing with Egnater Tweaker. It plays a fuller tube tone at lower volumes, cranks and thrashes with a couple toggle flips, and really sings with my Tube Screamer and old Boss PW-2. The speaker’s a very fine Celestion G12H-30 – vintage tones w/ added bottom end that’s very tight. No reverb, tho. But $420 less than a DR!! A different beast but a real tone monster.
@ProGuitarShopDemos why you don’t post a video with a twin reverb? on a bigger room at least to prevent any ear damage lol.
everything he plays sounds “tinny” like, why bother pluging in at all? Does he have the midrange turn down to “0″?
Is this amp good for home use?
yes Your vids are always very useful and informative. Good job. And a very talented and symphatetic guy you are too.
I’m about to upgrade from a Frontman 212R to the Deluxe Reverb. Am I doing the right thing? Does the Deluxe Reverb have the same feedback issue as the Frontman 212R?
Absolutely love your demos. The sound of this amp cranked up is so bad-ass (3:48). Love it. Can’t wait until mine gets here! Thanks again.
@THEFUNDAMENTALVIEW same goes for whenever someone demonstrates a ’spring reverb’ sound, they always play the same old boring ’surf’ licks. Yuck!!!!
@ProGuitarShopDemos how often are you supposed to replace the tubes in an amp? How much do they cost? Is it worth deviating from the stock tubes?
@THEFUNDAMENTALVIEW Dude you are so right. I don’t get it either. Thanks for saying what needs to be said. No more blues. Thank you very much.
gawd-dayum! that was aw-some! tanx!
@ProGuitarShopDemos LOL
I finally got to play one. It sounds sweet. Pros are that it is easy to dial in tone, and has great reverb. Only con is not having a middle control. Sounded really tight but I bet a vintage one is a little more broken in. I didn’t get to test out the tremolo (didn’t work) so I don’t have an opinion on that. I hope to try out a Twin Reverb to compare.
I can’t beleive you had this amp on close to 10 and you are sitting right next to it. I put mine on 3 and my house shake and my drummer complaint that he can’t hear himself. I hope you are using ear plugs … Great demo!
Another fine job from Andy
@THEFUNDAMENTALVIEW We’ll play metal next time
Does everyone that does an amp review have to play that southern blues stuff? Is that the script? Come in with a blues lick? At least this guy sounds like he knows what he is talking about. Confident in the review and in the information. But, please, refrain from those finger picking blues licks….they drive me nuts!!!!
huh when i play this amp i can never get that tone pretty radical
@ProGuitarShopDemos Help me guys I’m torn!! Should I get the DRRI or a twin reverb reissue? I love both tones. I play medium sized venues and I use pedals for my OD.
