This is an awesome product. I wish I had one a month or so ago when we had an electrical storm that caused a black out. Although I opened the windows for air, the humidity was so high I was miserable. This fan is powerful enough on high to keep an individual or small area quite comfortable. And it is so quiet that I use it now in my office with the cord. Hurricane season has just revved up so I’ll probably get a chance to test the built-in rechargeable batteries soon. The listing is a little vague about that so let me clarify that you have rechargeable batteries that are built into the product. Then, you can also add 8 D batteries for extended use. If you are in a situation where you will need this beyond the 93 hours the box promises using the internal and external batteries you will want to get rechargeable batteries. If you get a solar charger to boot you will be in a position to keep this going indefinitely in an emergency situation.

This fan is compact, light weight and works very well. It is true that it can be charged (by batteries or by plugging it into the wall) and then can be used for about 7 or 8 hours on low if you are camping or not close to an energy source. The high speed circulates a lot of air for the size and the low speed is decent. The fan can stand alone and the black round plastic piece encasing the actual fan can tilt up or down easily so that you can control exactly where the air is circulated.

Great lightweight and effective fan. I’ve used it on a boat and 2 other outdoor activities. It’s internal battery works for hours. And if you still need more power you can take some heavyweight D batteries with you as well, or even plug into a cigarette light in your car. Great find

I think this should be a required product in every car that transports dogs. It can run off the car battery, batteries or recharged by plug in. I plan to order several more for myself to keep my dogs safe in summer.hot weather and several more for Xmas presents for my dog friends. I also use it on the agility field as the dogs are in crates waiting to run the obstacle course. They never are too hot thanks to the portability of the 02cool smart fan.

My pickup has a camper cap in the rear, with screen windows on two sides and a hatch in the front and rear. My three Lady Labs ride in individual metal crates in the back, and each has her own fan clipped to the end of her crate by the handy swivel/hook, and secured with ‘biners. A fourth fan is located in the access hatch to the cab.
The fans will operate on batteries, on AC current, or off the truck battery. I set up a three-gang access point on the roof of the cap, and plug all the fans in there. They move a surprising amount of air. When it’s very hot, the fourth fan blows the air conditioning back into the bed. Add cooling mats or a wet towel over the crates, and the girls are very comfortable in all but the hottest weather.
We have had no problems running two or three fans while the truck is parked, although if it’s an all day affair I’ll run the engine periodically to make sure the battery stays charged. I have had two of the fans for over two years, and they continue to work well with no problems.
