How to make an Ethernet Cat5e Cable

For more information visit: www.cables4sure.com How to make a Cat5E cable. Fast Ethernet and Gigabit computer networks require Enhanced Category 5 high-speed cabling to distribute data, voice and video. Cables4sure Enhanced Cat5 350Mhz Snag less Patch Cables are always extremely High quality. These CAT5e cables will handle bandwidth intensive applications up to 350 Mhz and beyond. Each CAT5e cable comes UL verified to meet all Cat 5e cables TIA/EIA standards, and drastically reduce both impedance and structural return loss (SRL) as compared to standard 100 Mhz CAT5 cable. Constructed with high-quality wire and a shortened body plug will keep Near-end Cross talk (NEXT) levels to a minimum. The molded, snag-free boot prevents unwanted cable snags during installation and provides extra strain-relief. Cables4sure 350 MHz Snag less CAT5e patch cables are available in a variety of colors to easily color-code your network installation. -Cat5e cable connector: 50-micron gold plated RJ-45 Male to Male -Cat5e cable conductor: 4-pair 24 AWG Stranded Copper -Cat5e cable jacket: PVC -Molded, Snag-Free boot prevents unwanted cable snags Applications: -1000 BASE-T; 100 BASE-T; 10 BASE-T (IEEE 802.3) -4/16 Mbps Token Ring (IEEE 802.5); 100 VG-Any LAN -100 Mbps TP-PMD (ANSI X3T9.5); 55/155 Mbps ATM -Voice -Cat5e cable designed For: Network Adapters, Hubs, Switches, Routers, DSL/Cable Modems, Patch Panels and other twisted-pair applications -Cables4sure Cat5e cable exceeds Category 5e

  1. lame as. who uses cat5 or 5e now. Cat6, 6+ and 7 are the norm these days so don’t bother. Most switces and servers don’t need cross over cables either, the port for linking them has a button or they are crossed internally. Or get real and go for fiber optic people! speed is the key to a good connection and network.

  2. I like the captions=)

  3. Who reads right to left ???The way you were holding the fitting and describing the colors is wrong… DONT WATCH THIS VIDEO YOU WILL MESS UP YOUR FITTINGS!!! This guy sucks at this!!!!

@pragneshgsoni No, because they are completely different, but you can buy a usb ethernet adapter which would achieve the same thing. If your intention was to connect two computers without a network switch/hub then you would also need a crossover cable.

@hophiphop11 If you Google for the term “Crossover Cable” then you will find a wiring diagram to connect two computers with one network cable. You simply have to follow the instructions in this video, but insert the wires in a different order.

@loversdigest no, you need to use the crimping tool because it snaps a piece of plastic which traps the cable in place and stops the cable from coming loose.
The crimping tool also pushes the copper connectors into the wires which is why in the video he explains that the wires must go all the way to the end.

  18. cat 7 is not for 1 Gbit ethernet…its for 10 Gbit.

cat 6 works great for gigabit ethernet

  19. a few questions:
    1. does a cat7 cable have the same connector as an cat 5 cable?
    2. if my motherboard supports maximal 1Gbit ethernet and i use a cat 7 cable does that work?
    3. i use a router and a modem do they also need to be connected trough cat 7?

  20. This guy is a networking noob…

Your CAT5e Network Cable arranged for ANSI/EIA/TIA Standard 568 B for Commercial environments starts by guiding the pin arrangement with colors Orange-White Through Brown… Orange goes lefthand side…. not Brown. Youn need about half-inch for the RJ45 jacket.

You also don’t even mention for new kids to networking that you have to cut or burn off the Rip-Cord…

I’ll have a video response for you soon… This noobery… pfft
