@Egamer50 Could have been old tubes. I bought one from a shop that was a total piece of work. New filter caps, new tubes, sounds a thousand times better.
i also just noticed he said that amp uses 12ax7 tubes, the pre amp tubes in mine are ecc83… is that bad?
I played one in a local shop tonight. SOMETHING was wrong, even having the gain knob cranked it sounded like it had nothing. it was running through a Kustom cab, i’m gunna blame the cab, unless that particular amp was a lemon or had a problem.
The one in this video sounded monstrous! Hopefully i’ll get a chance to play a good one.
This amp does come with a foot pedal, but the pedal only has 2 channels. This is kind of pain because when I play in the crunch mode, I have to click the clean button on the head in order to switch. I use a TS-9 tube screamer and it screams with feedback haha. A noise suppressor is needed if one enjoys playing with high gain.

@XzaccYXguitarXplayer Sounds like you bought it without spending any time with it in the store. I have one of these and I adore it. But any equipment you use, be it the guitar, the amp, pedals, ANYTHING, should speak to you on a personal level right from the get go. The amp may just not be right for you. Sure you can fiddle with it and get a good sound out of it. But a guitarist should know as soon as he plugs in if it’s right for him. Just a mental connection we all get when we try new stuff.
Anyone knows if the DSL50 has the same sound???
Is there a footpedal that comes with the amp?
Do you need some kind of a noise supressor with this amp ?Does it produce any hums when you have the gain on too high?
does this tube head have overheating problems like the DSL401 does?

What is the differences between hooking up the speakers at 16 ohm, or 4 or 8 ohm? I’ve been hooking it up 16, but I didn’t know if there would be a difference in sound? I’ve got the exact same setup as you’re using here. Thanks.

surprised theres no feed back thats….. bull/…………. probably has a noise gate on though
when i turn mine up to about 5 its a perfect sound. pure bliss with my les paul. sometimes i even throw a big muff in on the classic gain channel for some really creamy sound
